Conformity of the goods
We are liable for lack of conformity of the goods with the contract for 2 years from the date of purchase.
If the lack of conformity appears within the first 6 months, it is presumed to have existed at the time of purchase — unless we prove otherwise. During that period you may choose between repair and replacement.
After the first 6 months, the burden of proof is on the buyer.
Warranty
SMS Scales come with a 2-year warranty. Once the warranty period ends we carry on maintaining and improving the software free of charge.
The warranty is voluntary and does not exclude or limit your statutory rights in respect of conformity.
How to make a claim
You can raise a claim:
- By e-mail to smsvaga@gmail.com
- By phone on +381 64 144 7899
- By post to: OPTICAL d.o.o., Vladimira Ćorovića 22, 37000 Kruševac, Serbia
Please attach the invoice or other proof of purchase, and describe what the problem is and what you are asking for — repair, replacement, a price reduction, or cancellation of the contract.
For claims from outside Serbia, contact us before sending anything back. Goods returning across the border need the right customs paperwork, and without it a parcel can be held up or refused. We will tell you exactly how to send it.
The deadlines we keep to
- Acknowledgement of your claim — without delay
- Reply to the claim — no later than 8 days from receipt
- Resolution of an accepted claim — no later than 30 days from submission (technical goods)
In our reply we state whether we accept the claim, respond to your request, and give a concrete proposal and a deadline for resolving it.
If for objective reasons we cannot meet the request within the deadline, we will let you know and ask for your consent to extend it. An extension is possible only once.
Costs
Where a claim is justified, we bear all costs — including the cost of sending the goods and returning them.
What is not covered
Conformity and warranty do not cover damage caused by:
- improper use contrary to the instructions
- connection to a battery of the wrong voltage or technology
- mechanical damage, dropping or overloading
- unauthorised repairs or modifications
- force majeure — lightning strike, flood, fire and similar events
Resolving disputes
We aim to settle every claim by agreement. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence apply to you as well, and nothing on this page takes those rights away.
